Donald Trump was awarded a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles in 2007. Now the prestigious symbol has been chopped up by a man (again).
US President Donald Trump, 72, lost one award now: One man smashed his star in hundreds of pieces on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the world’s most famous pavement, during the night to Wednesday.

According to the Los Angeles police, the perpetrator smashed the award with a pickaxe early on Wednesday morning at 3:30 a.m. local time (July 25). He supposedly hid the ax in a guitar case in order not to cause a sensation and to approach the place unchecked.
A witness later told CBS Los Angeles that the man acted “as if it were his business simply to tear down the floor. She assumed he was just doing his job.”
One hour after the crime, the man turned himself into the police. The reason for his offense is still unknown. Meanwhile, photos of the destroyed tribute are making the rounds on Twitter.
