Just when I thought the world of progressive insanity couldn't get any worse, I end up reading about incidents like this. This can't be real life. Will these ultra inclusive liberals simply keep pushing on with this type of behavior until almost everything that makes up our daily lives and culture is competely ruined? This must have been their intent all along. It almost has to have been their intent all along. They can no longer contain their jealousy and contentment for tradition and for those who excel in and enjoy participating in storied activities. Traditions like holding tryouts for the high school cheerleading squad. This behavior is abhorrent and despicable.
And what the bloody hell does this girls mother think she has accomplished now that she has fostered the destruction of the legitimate cheer squad? Everyone at the school must hate this girl by now. For sure the girls who made the legitimate cheer squad hate both the girl and her mother. There is no way that this girl had any friends before this incident and she definitely doesn't have any after this shit. Her mother had to have been one of those helicopter mothers who lives through their children.
Unfortunately I think what ends up happening is that up through the end of middle school, parents become acclimated to their children being involved in a wide range of school sponsored extra curricular activities. As they live precariously through their children during these activities they can't stand the possibility that this may come to an end from the possible reality that their child is simply not talented enough to continue playing a particular sport at a senior level. They are either indifferent or oblivious to the fact that high school sports are actually determined by evaluating the talent level of the kids. Parents are always the cause of any turmoil and violence that breaks out in the stands of a kids' sporting events. Not the kids themselves.
Getting cut after a tryout is a part of life. Going through an experience like this is a valuable life lesson. To an ultra progressive, the only lesson they are concerned with is the lesson they plan to teach the administrators as to what happens when you disagree with them. Which is to bitch, complain and shame your adversaries until they bend to your unreasonable demands.
This mother's actions not only deprived her daughter of a valuable life lesson but it also prevented the girls who made the team from receiving the confidence-building experience of being rewarded for ones talent and hard work.
What an utter piece of shit this parent is. You deserve to be jeered and shamed by the entire world. You also just made your daughter the #1 target for bullying for the rest of her high school career.
Now that this story has been publicized, a good chunk of the remaining sane people who read the news will likely share my level of disgust.
The liberal trophy culture has come to a New Jersey High School and the cheerleaders aren’t happy about it.
A parent whose daughter didn’t make the cheer squad at Hanover Park High School decided to ruin it for everyone by complaining. The parent wanted her daughter included even though she didn’t make the cut. The Athletic Director bent to the demands of this parent and changed the policy so anyone who wants to be a cheerleader can join under the banner of “inclusivity.”
This upset the cheerleaders who were talented enough to make the team. They feel that their hard work meant nothing as anyone can be handed a uniform and pom poms without even trying. This inclusive policy of letting anyone on the squad regardless of skill is a slap in the face to cheerleaders who take the sport seriously.
When parents of the cheerleaders sent letters to the principal and Athletic Director asking for this new policy to be reversed, the principal threatened to disband the cheerleading squad altogether.
Ten cheerleaders and their parents went to a School Board meeting to make their case that hard work and tryouts should determine who makes the squad.
“I came up here to state that I did not put in 18 months of work to lead up to this moment, just to be told it didn’t matter anymore,” Jada Alcontara said.
Lots of tears were shed as the emotional cheerleaders made their case. Video about this and how this brand of trophy culture is hurting our kids is below.
Giving out trophies and spots on teams to everyone is not helping these children. Learning how to deal with failure and to prepare for success is an important childhood lesson. This isn’t how it works in the real world and Mommy can’t come and complain to your boss in order for you to get your way.
