Italian courts really fucked this case up. I remember just how much of a circus this whole case was. It was incredible how unprofessional and inept the Italian authorities were dealing with this entire trial. They fit the stereotypical Italian demeanor to a T by being over dramatic and allowing their own emotions, along with the publics, to dictate how the trial would be orchestrated. Then there was the crazy story about the prosecution spending 300 grand on CGI for a video they showed the jury. She was found guilty, then reversed to not guilty on appeal, then retried and found guilty again, then overturned and exonerated finally.
